What To Expect

When you have your child play for Mariposa County Little League, you can expect well-managed fields, professional umpires, great uniforms, and a learning environment that is supportive and kind to your child no matter their skill level.

Here’s what you can expect when your child plays for MCLL.

TYPICAL CALENDAR OF EVENTS

Registration starts November 1st and ends in early February 6th. Opening day is in February.  The season is February – May for tee-ball, Rookies, Minor, and Major Divisions. 50/70 and Seniors may have a different time frame.  All Stars starts in June and can run through July in our area. Playoffs are at the end of May once all regular games have been played.

PRACTICES

Practice frequency and duration for regular Little League season is left up to the discretion of the managers. Usually, teams practice two to three times a week. However, some practice once a week, and some more early on in the season. Once the season starts, practices taper down as we make teams play two to three games a week.(upper divisions only)

GAMES 

Tee-Ball
One game a week (Saturday only)

Rookies
One or two games a week (Usually includes a Saturday and a weeknight)

Minors
Two games per week with some inter-league games in Oakhurst & Coarsegold (Weeknight and Saturday's)

Majors
Two/ three games per week with inter-league games in Oakhurst & Coarsegold (midweek and Saturday's)

50/70- juniors/seniors
Two games a week with travel to leagues from Fresno to Modesto many will be double headers
